Am Anfang war die Gewissheit, dass Barockperücken Roberto und mir ausgezeichnet stehen. Diese Erkenntnis beruht auf der Fotomontage, die mein musikalischer Kompagnon mir eines Tages in den Elektroposteingang legte (und die heute das Cover des vorliegenden Albums ziert).
Schnell war klar, dass wir ein musikalisches Konzept entwerfen sollten, dass das häufige Tragen derartiger Kopfschmucke rechtfertigte. Zunächst kaufte ich via eBay das Cembalo eines Dresdner Kirchenmusikers. Das Instrument der Firma xx atmet den Geist der späten DDR.
Es ist äußerlich mit feinem Kunstholz furniert, das wahrscheinlich schon abzublättern begann, als der antiimperialistische Schutzwall noch tiptop funktionierte. Der Verkäufer wies besorgt darauf hin, dass es sich um ein Schülerinstrument handelte, dass professionellen Ansprüchen kaum genügen würde - Eine Einschätzung, die Roberto und ich nie teilen konnten. Nach der Lieferung bestellten wir zunächst einen Klavierstimmer, der uns in den Umgang mit Cembali einwies.
Als ich ihn darauf aufmerksam machte, dass man heutzutage für 3,99 Apps kaufen kann, mit denen man auch Tasteninstrumente der Vorklassik in Bestqualität stimmen kann, seine Arbeit mithin fortan überflüssig ist, war er schwer getroffen und musste von uns bei einem Heissgetränk getröstet werden.
